Warm Base, Tunable Task
Start with a warm ambient layer—2700–3000K LEDs with 90+ CRI—to reduce glare on slopes and keep skin tones pleasant. Add tunable task zones (e.g., 3000–3500K) at desks or craft tables for crisp contrast without a clinical feel.
Scenes, Dimming, and Daylight
Program scenes like Work, Wind-Down, and Guest on smart dimmers or keypads; multi-zone control trims heat and energy use. Pair skylights/roof windows with blackout or light-filtering shades to manage daylight for sleep or screen time.
Placement on Slopes
Aim fixtures across the room, not down the pitch, and use wall-wash trims near slopes to avoid scalloping. Keep IC/AT ratings where housings contact insulation to protect the air barrier.
